So, in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth month and day, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, rolled up with his whole crew against Jerusalem and set up camp, building forts all around.
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth {day} of the month, {that} Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
The city was under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah, no cap.
And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
On the ninth day of the fourth month, the fam was struggling hard in the city, and there was no bread for the people, fr.
And on the ninth {day} of the {fourth} month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
The city got wrecked, and all the soldiers ghosted at night through the gate between two walls by the king's garden; the Chaldeans were all around, and the king headed towards the plain.
And the city was broken up, and all the men of war {fled} by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which {is} by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees {were} against the city round about:) and {the king} went the way toward the plain.
The Chaldeans chased down the king and caught him in the Jericho plains; his whole crew was scattered like they ghosted him.
And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
They snatched the king and hauled him to Babylon to Riblah, where they dished out some judgment on him.
So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him. {gave...: Heb. spake judgment with him}
They straight-up took out Zedekiah’s sons right in front of him, blinded him, cuffed him in brass, and brought him to Babylon, savage.

In the fifth month, on the seventh day, during the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzar-adan, the captain of the guard and a servant of the king, showed up in Jerusalem.
And in the fifth month, on the seventh {day} of the month, which {is} the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem: {captain...: or, chief marshal}
He set fire to the house of the Lord, the king's palace, and all the houses in Jerusalem; every big shot's pad got torched, and it was all bussin'.
And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great {man's} house burnt he with fire.
The entire Chaldean army with the captain of the guard smashed down the walls of Jerusalem all around, periodt.
And all the army of the Chaldees, that {were with} the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
So the rest of the crew that stayed in the city, plus the ones who bounced to the king of Babylon, Nebuzar-adan, the captain of the guard, scooped them up.
Now the rest of the people {that were} left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away. {fugitives: Heb. fallen away}
But the captain of the guard kept the broke folks around to work as vinedressers and farmers, no cap.
But the captain of the guard left of the poor of the land {to be} vinedressers and husbandmen.
The Chaldeans smashed the brass pillars from the Lord's house, plus the bases and the big brass sea, and took all that brass to Babylon.
And the pillars of brass that {were} in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that {was} in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.
They also grabbed the pots, shovels, snuffers, spoons, and all the brass gear they used, straight up bussin'.
And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
The captain of the guard snagged the firepans, bowls, and all the gold and silver stuff, keeping it real.
And the firepans, and the bowls, {and} such things as {were} of gold, {in} gold, and of silver, {in} silver, the captain of the guard took away.
The two pillars, one sea, and the bases Solomon crafted for the Lord's house; that brass was seriously heavy, fr.
The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight. {one...: Heb. the one sea}
One pillar stood eighteen cubits tall, topped with a brass chapiter that was three cubits high, decked out with brass wreaths and pomegranates, just like the other pillar.
The height of the one pillar {was} eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it {was} brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest and Zephaniah the second priest, plus three doorkeepers, savage.
And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: {door: Heb. threshold}
He also grabbed an officer in charge of the warriors, five dudes chillin' with the king, the main scribe of the army, and sixty men from the city.
And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land {that were} found in the city: {officer: or, eunuch} {were in...: Heb. saw the king's face} {principal...: or, scribe of the captain of the host}
Nebuzar-adan, the captain of the guard, rounded up all these peeps and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:
The king of Babylon straight up took them out at Riblah in Hamath. So Judah got totally taken from their land, no cap.
And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
The peeps left in Judah, Nebuchadnezzar was like, 'Yo, Gedaliah is your new ruler,' and he was the son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan.
And {as for} the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.
When all the army leaders peeped Gedaliah was governor, they rolled up to Mizpah with their crew, including Ishmael, Johanan, Seraiah, and Jaazaniah.
And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
Gedaliah was like, 'Chill, don’t sweat the Chaldeans. Just stay here and serve the king of Babylon; it’s gonna be lit.'
And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
But in the seventh month, Ishmael, son of Nethaniah, came with ten homies and took out Gedaliah, so he died, along with the Jews and Chaldeans at Mizpah.
But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah. {royal: Heb. of the kingdom}
Everyone, big and small, and the army leaders bounced to Egypt because they were shook of the Chaldeans.
And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.
In the thirty-seventh year of Jehoiachin’s captivity, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day, Evil-merodach, king of Babylon, pulled Jehoiachin outta prison.
And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth {day} of the month, {that} Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
He was super nice to him and raised his throne above the other kings in Babylon, periodt.
And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that {were} with him in Babylon; {kindly...: Heb. good things with him}
He changed his prison clothes and had bread every day before him for the rest of his life, fr.
And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
His allowance was a daily hookup from the king, a steady rate for every day, all the days of his life.
And his allowance {was} a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.
