In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. {Set...: Heb. Give charge concerning thine house}

"Yo, head back and tell Hezekiah, my dude, that I heard your prayer and peeped your tears. I got you—gonna heal you, and in three days, you’ll come to my crib."

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

Hezekiah asked Isaiah, "What’s the sign that I’ll get healed and hit the Lord’s house on day three?"

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What {shall be} the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

Isaiah said, "You’ll get a sign from the Lord: Do you want the shadow to push forward ten degrees or slide back ten degrees?"

And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

Hezekiah was like, "It’s easy for the shadow to go down ten degrees; nah, let it slide back ten degrees instead."

And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

Isaiah prayed to the Lord, and just like that, the shadow moved back ten degrees like it had dipped on Ahaz’s dial.

In the meantime, Berodach–baladan, the king of Babylon, sent letters and gifts to Hezekiah since he heard about his sickness.

Hezekiah was cool with them and showed off all his goods—silver, gold, spices, and his dope armor. He flexed everything he owned.

Then Isaiah rolled up to Hezekiah and asked, "What did those guys say? Where are they from?" Hezekiah replied, "They’re from way over in Babylon."

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, {even} from Babylon.

"And what did they see in your spot?" Hezekiah responded, "They saw everything in my crib; I didn’t hold back anything."

Behold, the days come, that all that {is} in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The Lord’s word is solid." He added, "Isn’t it cool if I get peace and truth during my time?"

And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, {are} they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
