2 Corinthians Chapter 4
So we got this ministry, and since mercy's on our side, we're not throwing in the towel; that’s just facts.
Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
But we left the sus vibes behind, no sketchy moves or messing with God’s word; we keep it real and reveal the truth to everyone, no cap.
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. {dishonesty: Gr. shame}
If our gospel's hidden, it’s only from those who are lost, fr.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
The god of this world has straight-up blinded the minds of the non-believers, keeping them from peeping the lit light of Christ's glorious gospel, who is like the image of God.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
We ain't out here preaching ourselves, just Christ Jesus as the Lord; we’re your servants for Jesus' sake, periodt.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
God, who told the light to shine outta darkness, lit up our hearts to drop knowledge of His glory through Jesus’ face.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to {give} the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. {hath: Gr. is he who hath}
We hold this treasure in clay pots, so it’s clear the power’s all God, not us, no cap.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We’re getting hit from all sides, but we ain't stressing; confused, but not losing hope.
{We are} troubled on every side, yet not distressed; {we are} perplexed, but not in despair; {in despair: or, altogether without help, or, means}
Hated on, but never solo; knocked down, but not out for the count.
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Always carrying around the energy of Jesus’ death, so His life can thrive in our bodies.
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
We who are alive are constantly handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so His life can shine in our mortal skin, fr.
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
So yeah, death's working in us, but life’s flowing in you.
So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
We share the same faith vibe, just like it's written, "I believed, so I spoke"; we believe too, so we speak.
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
Knowing that the one who raised Jesus will also raise us up and present us with you, that's lit.
Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present {us} with you.
Everything's for your benefit, so the overflowing grace can spark mad thanks to God’s glory.
For all things {are} for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
So we ain't backing down; even if our outer selves fade, the inner us is getting fresh vibes daily.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward {man} is renewed day by day.
Our light struggles, which are just for a moment, are stacking us up with a way heavier eternal glory, periodt.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding {and} eternal weight of glory;
We focus on the unseen, not the visible; what’s seen is temporary, but the unseen lasts forever, no cap.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen {are} temporal; but the things which are not seen {are} eternal.
