2 Corinthians Chapter 2
So I was like, no cap, I’m not pulling up to you all heavy again.
But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
If I make you feel some type of way, then who’s really gonna lift me up, but the same homies I made feel bad?
For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
I shot you this message so when I drop by, I wouldn’t be all sad from the ones I should be hyped about; I trust you all, my joy is your joy, no cap.
And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is {the joy} of you all.
I came at you with mad feelings and tears, not to bring you down, but so you know the love I have for you is straight fire.
For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
If someone’s been a bummer, they didn’t fully bring me down; just a little, so I don’t wanna overload y’all.
But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
This punishment is more than enough for that guy, it was served up by the crew.
Sufficient to such a man {is} this punishment, which {was inflicted} of many. {punishment: or, censure}
So you should definitely vibe with forgiveness and lift him up, or else he might get lost in his own sorrow.
So that contrariwise ye {ought} rather to forgive {him}, and comfort {him}, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
I’m asking y’all to show him some love, fr.
Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm {your} love toward him.
I penned this so I could see if you’re down to be obedient about everything.
For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
Anyone you forgive, I’m down to forgive too: if I’ve forgiven anyone, it was for you, in the spirit of Christ.
To whom ye forgive any thing, I {forgive} also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave {it}, for your sakes {forgave I it} in the person of Christ; {person: or, sight}
So Satan doesn’t get the upper hand on us; we’re aware of his tricks, no sus vibes here.
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
When I showed up in Troas to spread the gospel, a door opened up for me from the Lord.
Furthermore, when I came to Troas to {preach} Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
I couldn’t chill in my soul 'cause I didn’t find Titus, so I bounced from there to Macedonia.
I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
Big shoutout to God, who always helps us score in Christ, showing off the solid vibes of His knowledge everywhere we roll.
Now thanks {be} unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
We’re the sweet aroma of Christ to God, for those who are saved, and for those who aren’t.
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:
To some, we’re the scent of death; to others, the scent of life. Who can handle that?
To the one {we are} the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who {is} sufficient for these things?
We’re not like those who twist God’s word; we keep it real, speaking with sincerity in the presence of God through Christ.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. {corrupt: or, deal deceitfully with} {in Christ: or, of Christ}
