2 Chronicles Chapter 9
So when the queen of Sheba caught wind of Solomon’s influence, she rolled through to drop some questions in Jerusalem, bringing her whole squad and camels stacked with spices, gold, and all that bling. She linked up with Solomon and let him know what was on her mind.
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
Solomon was on it, answering all her queries, no cap; nothing was off the table.
And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
Once the queen checked out Solomon’s wisdom and the sick palace he constructed,
And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,
She peeped the spread on his table, the vibe of his crew, and how the ministers were styled; even his cupbearers were on point, and she was totally shook.
And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. {cupbearers: or, butlers}
She said to the king, "For real, I got the scoop about your exploits and wisdom back home, and it’s all legit."
And she said to the king, {It was} a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom: {report: Heb. word} {acts: or, sayings}
But I was kinda sus until I saw it for myself; honestly, half of your wisdom’s greatness was still under wraps. You’re even more goated than I imagined!
Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen {it}: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: {for} thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
Your crew is blessed, and those servants who hang out with you and soak up your knowledge are lucky too.
Happy {are} thy men, and happy {are} these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
Shout out to the Lord your God for putting you on the throne, king for Him; since your God loves Israel and wants to keep them thriving forever, He made you king to dish out justice.
Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, {to be} king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
She hooked the king up with 120 talents of gold, a ton of spices, and precious stones; nothing compared to what queen Sheba brought to Solomon.
And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.
The squad of Huram and Solomon’s crew delivered gold from Ophir, along with some fancy trees and precious stones.
And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones. {algum...: also called, almug trees}
The king flexed and crafted some lit terraces from algum trees for the Lord's house and his palace, plus harps and psalteries for the singers: nothing like that was ever seen in Judah, fr.
And the king made {of} the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah. {terraces: or, stairs: Heb. highways}
Solomon set up the queen of Sheba with everything she wanted, no cap, on top of what she brought him. Then she dipped back to her homeland with her crew.
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside {that} which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.
In just one year, Solomon stacked up six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold; that’s a whole vibe.
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;
Plus what the traders and merchants rolled in. All the Arabian kings and local big shots brought gold and silver to Solomon, straight up.
Beside {that which} chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon. {governors: or, captains}
Solomon crafted two hundred targets from beaten gold: each one cost six hundred shekels of gold.
And king Solomon made two hundred targets {of} beaten gold: six hundred {shekels} of beaten gold went to one target.
He also made three hundred shields outta beaten gold: three hundred shekels went into each shield. The king stashed them in the house of the forest of Lebanon, periodt.
And three hundred shields {made he of} beaten gold: three hundred {shekels} of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
The king crafted a dope throne from ivory and draped it in pure gold; that throne was seriously goated.
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
It had six steps leading up to it, with a gold footstool attached, and two lions flexing on either side of the seat.
And {there were} six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, {which were} fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays: {stays: Heb. hands}
Twelve lions were just chilling on either side of the six steps. Nothing like that was made in any kingdom, no cap.
And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.
All of Solomon's drinking vessels were gold, and the stuff in the house of the forest of Lebanon was pure gold too; silver wasn’t even a thing during Solomon's reign.
And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon {were of} gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon {were of} pure gold: none {were of} silver; it was {not} any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon. {pure: Heb. shut up} {none were of silver: or, there was no silver in them}
The king's ships were vibing out to Tarshish with Huram's crew: every three years, they rolled back with gold, silver, ivory, monkeys, and peacocks.
For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks. {ivory: or, elephants' teeth}
King Solomon was flexing on all the kings with his wealth and wisdom, no cap.
And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
Every king was trying to chill with Solomon to soak up the wisdom that God dropped in his heart.
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.
They brought gifts for the king: silver and gold stuff, clothes, gear, spices, horses, and mules, like a yearly subscription.
And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
Solomon had mad stalls for horses and chariots, like 4,000 of 'em, plus 12,000 horsemen, popping off in the chariot cities and in Jerusalem.
And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
He ruled over all the kings from the river to the Philistines and all the way to the border of Egypt, straight up.
And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. {river: that is, Euphrates}
The king made silver in Jerusalem as common as stones, and cedar trees were everywhere like sycamores in the lowlands, fr.
And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that {are} in the low plains in abundance. {made silver: Heb. gave silver}
They brought Solomon horses from Egypt and all over the place, no cap.
And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
The rest of Solomon's moves, from start to finish, are they not documented in the book of Nathan the prophet and the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, plus Iddo the seer's visions against Jeroboam, son of Nebat?
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, {are} they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat? {book: Heb. words}
Solomon ruled in Jerusalem over all Israel for forty years, periodt.
And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
Solomon took a long nap with his fam, was buried in David's hood, and then his son Rehoboam took the throne.
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
