2 Chronicles Chapter 6
Solomon was like, "God's vibing in the thick darkness, no cap."
Then said Solomon, The LORD hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
"But I crafted a sick spot for You, a forever crib to chill in."
But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.
The king turned and blessed all of Israel, and everyone stood up, feeling that energy.
And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.
"Big ups to the Lord God of Israel, who came through on every promise He made to my pops David."
And he said, Blessed {be} the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled {that} which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,
"Since I brought my crew outta Egypt, I didn’t choose a city to build a crib for my name, nor pick a ruler for my squad."
Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
"But I picked Jerusalem for my name and selected David to lead my squad."
But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
"My dad David was totally about constructing a house for the Lord's name."
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
"But God told David, 'You did well wanting to build me a crib, for real.'"
But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:
"But it's not you who’s building it; your son will roll through and build it for my name."
Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
"So God kept it real with His word; I’m on the throne of Israel now, just like He said, and I built the crib for the Lord God of Israel."
The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.
I placed the ark in there, where the covenant with the Lord is chilling with the crew of Israel, no cap.
And in it have I put the ark, wherein {is} the covenant of the LORD, that he made with the children of Israel.
He pulled up to the altar of the Lord with everyone peeping, arms wide open like, "What’s good?"
And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
Solomon crafted this sick scaffold, five cubits long and wide, three high, and he stood on it, kneeling before the crew, hands raised to heaven, fr.
For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven, {long...: Heb. the length thereof, etc}
He said, "Yo, Lord God of Israel, there’s no one like You in heaven or on earth; You keep it 100 with the covenant and show mad love to your peeps who vibe with You."
And said, O LORD God of Israel, {there is} no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and {shewest} mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:
You stayed true to your boy David, my dad, fulfilling all the promises You made, and it's lit today.
Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled {it} with thine hand, as {it is} this day.
So, Lord God of Israel, keep it going with David like You promised, saying no one gonna miss out on the throne of Israel; just make sure his kids stay on track and keep it law-abiding, like he did.
Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me. {There...: Heb. So, Lord God of Israel, let Your word pop off, just like You told David, fr.
Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.
But for real, can God actually chill with humans on earth? I mean, heaven and the highest heaven can’t even contain You; how’s this crib I built gonna do it?
But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
So, show some love to my prayer, Lord my God, and listen to the cries and prayers I’m sending up to You.
Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
Keep Your eyes on this crib day and night, the spot where You said You’d put Your name; hear the prayers I’m sending Your way.
That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place. {toward...: or, in this place}
So listen up to the vibes of your servant and your peeps, Israel, when they hit you up from this spot: hear from your crib in heaven, and when You do, just forgive, no cap.
Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, {even} from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive. {make: Heb. pray} {toward...: or, in this place}
If someone does their neighbor dirty and has to swear an oath, and that oath gets brought to your altar in this crib;
If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house; {and an oath...: Heb. and he require an oath of him}
Then hear from heaven, do Your thing, and judge Your servants, by giving the wicked what they deserve and showing love to the righteous, keeping it real with their good vibes.
Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.
And if your people Israel are struggling against the enemy 'cause they messed up, and they come back to confess your name, pray, and ask for help in this crib;
And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house; {be put...: or, be smitten} {in: or, toward}
Then hear from the heavens, forgive your people Israel, and bring them back to the land you gave them and their fam.
Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.
When the sky's dry and no rain’s dropping 'cause they sinned against You; if they pray towards this spot, confess Your name, and turn from their wrongs when You’re putting them through it;
When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; {yet} if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them; {toward...: or, in this place}
Then hear from heaven and forgive Your servants and Your people Israel, when You've shown them the right way to go; send some rain on the land you gave Your people as their inheritance.
Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.
If there’s a drought, pestilence, or any bad vibes like locusts or caterpillars, or if their enemies are coming for them in their cities; whatever sickness or struggle is present:
If there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillers; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatsoever sore or whatsoever sickness {there be}: {in the cities...: Heb. in the land of their gates}
Then whatever prayer or request is made by anyone, or all Your people Israel, when they know their own pain and raise their hands in this crib:
{Then} what prayer {or} what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house: {in: or, toward} {toward...: or, in this place}
Then hear from heaven, where You chill, and forgive, and give each person what they deserve, 'cause You know what’s in their hearts; You’re the only one who knows what’s up with the hearts of humans.
Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)
So they can vibe with You, walk Your ways, as long as they chill in the land You gave to our fam.
That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers. {so long...: Heb. all the days which} {in the land: Heb. upon the face of the land}
And for the outsider, who ain't from Israel but rolls through from far away for Your epic name, Your strong hand, and Your reach; if they pull up and pray in this spot;
Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; {toward...: or, in this place}
Then hear from the heavens, Your crib, and do whatever the outsider asks; so everyone on earth knows Your name and vibes with You, just like Your people Israel, and knows this crib I built is all about Your name.
Then hear thou from the heavens, {even} from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as {doth} thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name. {this...: Heb. thy name is called upon this house}
If Your squad goes to battle against their haters by the way you send them, and they pray towards this city You picked and the crib I built for Your name;
If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;
Then hear from the heavens their prayers and their cries, and back them up.
Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. {cause: or, right}
If they mess up (no one is perfect, fr), and You get mad and hand them over to their enemies, and they get taken away to a land far or close;
If they sin against thee, (for {there is} no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before {their} enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near; {they carry them away captives: Heb. they that take them captives carry them away}
But if they realize what’s up in the land where they’re taken, and turn and pray to You in their struggle, saying, "We messed up, we did wrong, we were savage";
Yet {if} they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly; {bethink...: Heb. bring back to their heart}
If they come back to You with all their heart and soul in the land of their struggle, where they got taken, and pray towards their land, which You gave to their fam, and towards the city You chose, and the crib I built for Your name:
If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and {toward} the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name:
Then hear from the heavens, Your crib, their prayers and cries, back them up, and forgive Your people who messed up.
Then hear thou from the heavens, {even} from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee. {cause: or, right}
Now, my God, I’m asking You, open Your eyes, and let Your ears be tuned to the prayers made in this place.
Now, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and {let} thine ears {be} attent unto the prayer {that is made} in this place. {unto...: Heb. to the prayer of this place}
Yo, rise up, Lord God, and chill in Your spot, with the ark of Your strength. Let Your priests be draped in salvation, and let Your peeps vibe with goodness.
Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.
Lord God, don’t ghost Your anointed one: remember the good vibes You showed to David, Your homie.
O LORD God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.
