1 Timothy Chapter 5
Don’t come at the older peeps; treat them like family; the younger squad are just your homies, fr.
Rebuke not an elder, but intreat {him} as a father; {and} the younger men as brethren;
Show mad love to the older ladies like they’re your moms; the younger ones are like your sisters, pure vibes only.
The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
Respect the widows who are legit widows, no cap.
Honour widows that are widows indeed.
But if a widow has kids or fam, they need to step up and show love at home; that’s solid and what God’s about, periodt.
But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God. {piety: or, kindness}
The real widow, solo and trusting in God, is out here praying nonstop, and that’s straight fire.
Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.
But if she’s just living it large, she’s basically dead while being alive, sus.
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. {in...: or, delicately}
Make sure to vibe check these teachings so no one gets a bad reputation.
And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
If anyone’s not caring for their own, especially at home, they’re denying the faith and that’s just savage.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. {house: or, kindred}
Don’t let a widow under 60 roll with the crew if she’s only been with one guy.
Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, {taken...: or, chosen}
If she’s got a solid reputation for doing good—like raising children, helping strangers, washing feet, and supporting those in need—she’s goated.
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
But let’s skip the younger widows: once they start vibing against Christ, they’ll just end up getting married again.
But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
They’ll land in hot water for ditching their first faith, no cap.
Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
Plus, they get lazy, hopping from house to house, gossiping and butting into other people’s business, which is sus.
And withal they learn {to be} idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
So I say, let the younger women marry, have kids, manage the house, and not give the haters anything to talk about.
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. {to speak...: Gr. for their railing}
Some are already falling for Satan’s schemes, fr.
For some are already turned aside after Satan.
If any believer has widows, help them out; don’t call out the church; let the church support the real widows.
If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
Let the elders who are really putting in the work get double respect, especially those grinding in the word and teaching.
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Scripture says, "Don’t muzzle the ox while it’s working," and "The worker deserves their pay," and that hits hard.
For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer {is} worthy of his reward.
Don’t accept accusations against an elder unless you got two or three peeps to back it up.
Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. {before: or, under}
Call out those who mess up in front of everyone, so others can learn to be cautious.
Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
I’m telling you in front of God, Jesus, and the chosen angels, keep it real and don’t play favorites, no cap.
I charge {thee} before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. {preferring...: or, prejudice}
Don’t lay hands on anyone too fast, and steer clear of others’ sins; keep yourself clean.
Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
Stop just sipping water; a bit of wine’s good for your stomach and those times you’re feeling rough.
Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
Some guys’ sins are out there before judgment; others follow after them, that’s just facts.
Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some {men} they follow after.
And just like that, some good deeds are obvious ahead of time; those that aren’t can’t hide, periodt.
Likewise also the good works {of some} are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
