1 Thessalonians Chapter 5
Ayo fam, you already know I don’t need to spill the tea about the times and vibes.
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
For real, you know the day of the Lord’s gonna sneak up on you like a thief in the night, no cap.
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
When they go around saying, "All chill vibes and safety," sudden chaos is about to drop, like a woman in labor; they ain't getting away from that.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
But you guys aren’t in the shadows, so that day ain't gonna catch you off guard like a thief.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
You’re all children of the light and day; we’re not living that night or darkness vibe.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
So let’s not be snoozing like others; we gotta stay woke and keep it chill.
Therefore let us not sleep, as {do} others; but let us watch and be sober.
Those who are knocked out, get knocked out at night; and those who party, party at night.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
But we, who vibe with the day, gotta keep it real, rocking faith and love like a breastplate, and hope for salvation as our helmet.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
God didn’t set us up for drama, but for salvation through our guy, Jesus Christ.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
He laid down His life for us, so whether we’re awake or vibing, we’re living life with Him, periodt.
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
So keep vibing together and lift each other up, just like you already do, fr.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. {comfort: or, exhort}
Ayo fam, we need you to see the ones grinding among you, the leaders in the Lord who keep it 100.
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
Show mad love for them because of their hustle. Keep the peace, no cap.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. {And} be at peace among yourselves.
We’re saying this, fam, check the unruly, hype up the anxious, support the weak, and be chill with everyone.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all {men}. {exhort: or, beseech} {unruly: or, disorderly}
Don’t throw shade back at anyone; always pursue what’s good, both for yourselves and others.
See that none render evil for evil unto any {man}; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all {men}.
Stay lit with joy, always.
Rejoice evermore.
Pray like it’s a full-time gig, no breaks.
Pray without ceasing.
In everything, give thanks; that's just how God operates through Christ Jesus for you.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Don’t quench the Spirit, that’s sus.
Quench not the Spirit.
Don’t sleep on prophecies, keep it real.
Despise not prophesyings.
Test everything, fam; hold on to what’s good, periodt.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Steer clear of anything sus, no cap.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
And the God of peace is gonna vibe-check you all the way; I pray your spirit, soul, and body stay lit until our dude Jesus returns.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and {I pray God} your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
