1 Thessalonians Chapter 4
Listen up, squad, we’re just trying to vibe and pump you up in Jesus' name, so keep walking that path and making God proud, and level up, no cap.
Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort {you} by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, {so} ye would abound more and more. {beseech: or, request} {exhort: or, beseech}
You peeped the commandments we dropped on you from Jesus, right?
For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
For real, this is God’s plan to keep it clean and steer clear of that sus stuff.
For this is the will of God, {even} your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
Each one of you should learn to manage your own life with respect and dignity, that’s the move.
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
Not in those wild desires like the folks who don’t know God, that’s just savage.
Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
Don’t be out here trying to hustle your crew, 'cause God’s got your back and sees everything, periodt.
That no {man} go beyond and defraud his brother in {any} matter: because that the Lord {is} the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. {defraud: or, oppress, or, overreach} {in...: or, in the matter}
God’s not calling us to be messy, but to stay on that holy grind.
For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
If you're hating, you’re not just dissing people, you're throwing shade at God, who hooked us up with the holy Spirit.
He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. {despiseth: or, rejecteth}
You don’t need me to spill the tea on brotherly love, God’s already schooled you on that vibe.
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
And you’re already showing love to all the homies in Macedonia, but let’s keep pushing to do even more, fam.
And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
Just chill, focus on your own grind, and work hard like we told you, that’s the plan.
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
So you can roll honestly with those outside and have all you need, no worries.
That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and {that} ye may have lack of nothing. {of...: or, of no man}
I don’t want you to be left in the dark about those who’ve passed, so don’t stress like those without hope.
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Because if we believe Jesus died and came back, then those who sleep in Him will roll with God too.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
We’re dropping this straight from the Lord, that those of us still here when He shows up won’t leave the others behind.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive {and} remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. {prevent: or, come before, or, anticipate, or, precede}
The Lord’s gonna come down from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel, and the dead in Christ will rise first, that’s lit.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we who are still alive will get caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and we’ll be with Him forever, no cap.
Then we which are alive {and} remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
So, comfort each other with these words, fam.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words. {comfort: or, exhort}
