1 Peter Chapter 5
Ayo, I’m vibing with the older homies here, 'cause I’m in the same boat, and I’ve peeped the struggles of Christ, plus I’m hyped for that glory drop.
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
Care for God’s squad you’re rolling with, not out of obligation, but because you genuinely want to; not for the dough, but with a solid heart, fr.
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight {thereof}, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; {which...: or, as much as in you is}
Don’t flex like you’re the top dog over God’s fam, just be a solid example for the crew.
Neither as being lords over {God's} heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. {being lords over: or, overruling}
When the ultimate Shepherd rolls up, you’re scoring a crown of glory that won’t fade, periodt.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
So, younger peeps, respect the elders. Everyone needs to vibe collectively and keep it low-key; God’s not about that pride but blesses the humble with mad grace.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all {of you} be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
So, keep it humble under God’s strong hand, and He’ll lift you up when it’s your time.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Unload all your stress on Him; He’s got your back, no cap.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Stay sharp and focused; your opponent, the devil, is slinking around like a roaring lion, searching for someone to munch on.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Stand firm in your faith, knowing that your squad is dealing with the same vibes out there.
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
But the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory through Christ Jesus, after you’ve been through the grind, will perfect, establish, strengthen, and solidify you.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle {you}.
All glory and power to Him forever and ever. Amen.
To him {be} glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Shoutout to Silvanus, my loyal homie, who’s keeping it real with you; I’ve dropped this quick note to uplift you and affirm that this is the true grace of God you’re rocking.
By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
The church in Babylon, chosen alongside you, sends their love; and so does my dude Marcus.
The {church that is} at Babylon, elected together with {you}, saluteth you; and {so doth} Marcus my son.
Spread love to one another with a friendly kiss. Peace to everyone in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace {be} with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.
