1 Peter Chapter 3
Ayo, wives, just vibe with your dudes; if they aren’t catching the word, they might get swayed by how you roll, no cap.
Likewise, ye wives, {be} in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
While they check out your pure vibes combined with that respect.
While they behold your chaste conversation {coupled} with fear.
Don't just show off with your hair and gold chains, keep it low-key.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward {adorning} of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
Instead, let it be about that inner light, the good spirit that’s priceless to God.
But {let it be} the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, {even the ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Back in the day, the holy ladies who trusted God were doing it like this, keeping it 100 with their men.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
Just like Sara called Abraham 'master'; you’re her daughters if you’re doing right and not stressing.
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. {daughters: Gr. children}
And yo, husbands, know your wives, treat them like the queens they are, so your prayers don’t hit a brick wall.
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
In the end, be on the same wavelength, show each other love, treat each other like fam, be kind, and keep it classy.
Finally, {be ye} all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, {be} pitiful, {be} courteous: {love as: or, loving to the}
Don’t respond with negativity; instead, bless each other, ‘cause you’re meant to inherit that good stuff.
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
If you wanna love life and catch those good days, keep your mouth shut and don’t spread negativity.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Steer clear of bad vibes, do good; chase after peace and make it happen.
Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
God’s eyes are on the righteous, and He hears their prayers, but He’s got a serious side-eye for the evil ones.
For the eyes of the Lord {are} over the righteous, and his ears {are open} unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord {is} against them that do evil. {against: Gr. upon}
Who’s gonna come at you if you’re doing good?
And who {is} he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
But if you catch flak for doing right, you’re blessed; don’t let their fear mess up your vibe.
But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy {are ye}: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
Keep God close and be ready to share your hope with chill and respect.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and {be} ready always to {give} an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: {fear: or, reverence}
Maintain a clear conscience; when they throw shade at you, they’ll end up looking foolish for lying about your good vibes in Christ.
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
It’s way better to suffer for doing good if that’s what God wants, than for doing wrong, periodt.
For {it is} better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
Christ took one for the squad for our sins, the just for the unjust, to bring us to God, dying in the flesh but rising in the Spirit.
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
He went and preached to the spirits that were locked up.
By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
They were wildin' back in the day when God was patient during Noah’s time, while the ark was being built, and only eight people made it through the water.
Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
Baptism is kinda like that; it saves us now, not just rinsing off dirt, but giving a clear conscience towards God through Jesus’ resurrection.
The like figure whereunto {even} baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
He’s chilling in heaven, sitting at God’s right hand; angels and powers are all under His authority.
Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
