1 John Chapter 3
Yo, peep this! The Father’s love is straight up unmatched, calling us His children. The world doesn’t vibe with us ‘cause it never knew Him, no cap.
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Listen up, we are the sons of God now, but we have no clue what we’ll be in the future. When He shows up, we’re gonna be just like Him; we’ll see Him for real, periodt.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Anyone holding onto this hope is getting their life together, just like He’s legit, fr.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
If you’re out here sinning, you’re breaking the rules; sin is literally that, no cap.
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
You already know He came to erase our sins; in Him, there’s no sin at all, lit.
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
If you’re rollin' with Him, you ain't sinning; if you are, you don’t truly know Him, sus.
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Listen up, little homies, don’t let anyone trick you: if you’re doing right, you’re righteous, just like He is.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
If you’re out here sinning, you’re on that devil energy; the devil's been about that life since day one. The Son of God came to totally dismantle the devil’s plans.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Anyone born of God doesn’t sin; His vibe lives in them, and they can’t sin ‘cause they’re born of God, fr.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. {is born: or, has been born}
This is how you can tell the children of God from the children of the devil: if you ain’t doing right, you’re not with God, and if you don’t love your bro, that’s sus.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
This is the tea we got from the start: we gotta show love to one another, periodt.
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. {message: or, commandment}
Not like Cain, who was on that wicked vibe and took out his bro. Why? ‘Cause he was doing evil things, while his brother was righteous.
Not as Cain, {who} was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
Don’t be shook, fam, if the world throws shade your way.
Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
We know we’ve transitioned from death to life ‘cause we love our crew. If you don’t love your bro, you’re still in darkness, no cap.
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not {his} brother abideth in death.
Anyone who hates their bro is basically a murderer, and you know no murderer’s got eternal life in them, fr.
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
This is how we recognize God’s love: He laid down His life for us, so we gotta be ready to do the same for our crew.
Hereby perceive we the love {of God}, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down {our} lives for the brethren.
But if you got the goods and see your bro in need yet don’t help, how can God’s love be within you?
But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels {of compassion} from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
Yo, little homies, let’s not just talk about love; we gotta show it in our actions and keep it real.
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
And this is how we know we’re vibing with the truth and can chill with our hearts before Him.
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. {assure: Gr. persuade}
If our hearts are calling us out, remember, God’s got our backs; He’s bigger than our feels and knows everything.
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Fam, if our hearts aren’t judging us, we can step up to God with confidence, fr.
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, {then} have we confidence toward God.
And whatever we ask for, we’ll receive from Him ‘cause we keep His rules and do what pleases Him, no cap.
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
This is the command, fam: believe in His Son Jesus and love each other, just like He told us.
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Whoever keeps His commandments is vibing with Him, and He’s vibing with them. We know He’s in us through the Spirit He gave us, periodt.
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
