1 Corinthians Chapter 2
Yo squad, when I rolled up to y’all, I didn’t come through with big words or wisdom, just straight-up truth about God.
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
I was like, “Forget the rest, just focus on Jesus Christ and that whole crucifixion scene.”
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
I was vibing with you, feeling all emotional, scared and shook, no cap.
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
My words and the way I preached weren’t just about that slick talk, but pure power from the Spirit.
And my speech and my preaching {was} not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: {enticing: or, persuasible}
So your faith ain’t built on what humans think, but on God’s real power, fr.
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. {stand: Gr. be}
We’re dropping wisdom for the perfect crowd, but it’s not the world’s wisdom, that’s straight-up sus.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
We’re revealing God’s wisdom, a secret recipe He whipped up before time for our glow-up.
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, {even} the hidden {wisdom}, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
None of the world’s elites caught on; if they did, they wouldn’t have done the Lord dirty.
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known {it}, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
For real, it’s written, no one’s seen or heard what God’s got in store for those who rock with Him.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God’s spilled the tea through His Spirit: the Spirit checks all the vibes, even the deep truths.
But God hath revealed {them} unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Who really knows what’s going on in a person, except for his own spirit? Same with God; only the Spirit knows.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
We got the spirit that isn’t from the world, but God’s spirit, so we can vibe with the gifts He hooks us up with.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
We’re sharing this intel, not from human wisdom, but from what the Holy Ghost teaches, mixing spiritual with spiritual.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
The natural person just can’t catch what the Spirit’s laying down; it’s straight-up nonsense to him, and he can’t vibe with it.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know {them}, because they are spiritually discerned.
But the spiritual homie knows what’s up with everything, and no one’s throwing shade at him, periodt.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. {judgeth: or, discerneth} {judged: or, discerned}
Who even knows the Lord’s thoughts to teach Him? But we’ve got the mind of Christ, that’s so lit.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. {may: Gr. shall}
