1 Corinthians Chapter 16
So, about that collection for the saints, I hit up the churches in Galatia to get it going, and you should jump in too.
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
On the first day of the week, everyone should tuck away some dough, like God blessed you, so we ain't gotta stress when I roll through.
Upon the first {day} of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as {God} hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
When I pull up, whoever you vibe with, I’ll have them drop off your generosity in Jerusalem.
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by {your} letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. {liberality: Gr. gift}
If it’s a vibe that I roll with them, they can come along too.
And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
I’m planning to swing by after I hit Macedonia, for real.
Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.
Might just chill with you for a minute, even through winter, so you can help me on my journey wherever I go, bet.
And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.
I won’t catch you on the way, but I'm hoping to kick it with you for a while if the Lord’s down.
For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.
But I'm staying in Ephesus until Pentecost, no cap.
But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
A big opportunity just opened up for me, but I got some haters in the mix.
For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and {there are} many adversaries.
If Timotheus shows up, make sure he’s all good with you, 'cause he’s grinding for the Lord like I am.
Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also {do}.
Don't let anyone throw shade at him; send him off in peace so he can come to me, 'cause I'm waiting for him with the crew.
Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
About our guy Apollos, I really wanted him to vibe with you and the crew, but he’s not feeling it right now; he’ll come when the time’s right.
As touching {our} brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
Stay woke, hold it down in the faith, act like men, and be strong.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Let everything you do be done in love, periodt.
Let all your things be done with charity.
I’m asking you, fam, (you know the house of Stephanas, they’re the first in Achaia, and they’re all in for the saints' ministry,)
I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and {that} they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
So you should vibe with them and everyone grinding hard with us.
That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with {us}, and laboureth.
I’m hyped about Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus coming through; they filled in what you were missing.
I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
They’ve lifted my spirits and yours, so show them some love, for real.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
The churches in Asia are sending their love. Aquila and Priscilla are sending big hugs in the Lord, with their house crew.
The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
All the bros say what’s up. Give each other a holy kiss, no cap.
All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.
This shoutout is from me, Paul, written with my own hand.
The salutation of {me} Paul with mine own hand.
If anyone doesn’t love the Lord Jesus Christ, let them be cursed; come back, Lord!
If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, fr.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ {be} with you.
My love’s with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. This letter to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas, Fortunatus, Achaicus, and Timotheus.
My love {be} with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. «{The first epistle} to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus and Timotheus.}»
