1 Corinthians Chapter 12
Ayo, crew, let’s dive into those spiritual gifts, don’t be out here clueless, ya feel?
Now concerning spiritual {gifts}, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
Y’all remember how you were vibing with those sus idols, just getting led off track.
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
So here’s the scoop: nobody who’s lit by God’s Spirit says Jesus is cursed; only the Holy Ghost lets you say Jesus is the Lord, no cap.
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and {that} no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. {accursed: or, anathema}
There’s a ton of variety in gifts, but all of it comes from the same Spirit, fr.
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Different styles in how we serve, but it’s the same Lord holding it down.
And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. {administrations: or, ministries}
And yo, God’s got mad ways of working, but it’s the same God making it happen, periodt.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
The Spirit shows up in everyone to help out, that’s just facts.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
One gets wisdom from the Spirit; another gets knowledge, all from the same Spirit, you feel me?
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
Someone else gets faith from that same Spirit; another one’s got the healing gifts, all lit.
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
One’s got the ability to pull off miracles; another’s bringing prophecies; another’s got spirit discernment; plus there’s tongues and interpretations, it’s a whole squad.
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another {divers} kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
But all these vibes come from the same Spirit, passing out gifts to each person as they see fit.
But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
The body’s like, one crew with mad members, and all those members make one body: same with Christ, no cap.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also {is} Christ.
We all got baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether you're Jew or Gentile, slave or free; we all sip from that one Spirit, fr.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether {we be} Jews or Gentiles, whether {we be} bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. {Gentiles: Gr. Greeks}
The body ain’t just one part, it’s a whole crew, periodt.
For the body is not one member, but many.
If the foot's like, "I ain’t a hand, so I’m not part of the body," does that mean it ain't part of the body? Sus.
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
And if the ear says, "I’m not an eye, so I’m not part of the body," does that mean it’s not part of the body? Nah.
And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
If the whole body was just an eye, how would it hear? If it was all hearing, how would it smell?
If the whole body {were} an eye, where {were} the hearing? If the whole {were} hearing, where {were} the smelling?
But God’s got the members set just how He wants, and that’s the vibe.
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
If they were all just one part, where’s the body at?
And if they were all one member, where {were} the body?
But now, there’s a whole squad of members, yet it’s still one body, lit.
But now {are they} many members, yet but one body.
The eye can't be like, "I don’t need you, hand," and the head ain't gonna say to the feet, "You’re useless," no cap.
And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
For real, the body parts that seem weak are actually essential, fr.
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
And those parts we think are less lit, we give them mad respect; even the awkward bits got more rizz.
And those {members} of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely {parts} have more abundant comeliness. {bestow: or, put on}
The parts that look all good don’t need the extra love, but God set the whole squad up to work together, giving more props to the parts that need it.
For our comely {parts} have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that {part} which lacked:
So there’s no beef in the body; everyone should care for each other, periodt.
That there should be no schism in the body; but {that} the members should have the same care one for another. {schism: or, division}
If one part's hurting, the whole crew feels it; if one part’s popping, we all vibe together.
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
Y’all are the body of Christ, and everyone’s got their own role, bet.
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
God organized the church with some as apostles, some as prophets, some as teachers, then miracles, healing vibes, helps, leadership, and different languages.
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. {diversities: or, kinds}
Are all of y’all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Can everyone pull off miracles?
{Are} all apostles? {are} all prophets? {are} all teachers? {are} all workers of miracles? {workers...: or, powers?}
Do all have healing powers? Does everyone speak in tongues? Can everyone interpret?
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
But for real, chase after the best vibes, fr; I’m about to drop some tea on an even better way.
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
