1 Corinthians Chapter 11
You should vibe with me, fam, just like I vibe with Christ.
Be ye followers of me, even as I also {am} of Christ.
Ayo, I really appreciate you for keeping me in mind and sticking to the rules I laid down.
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered {them} to you. {ordinances: or, traditions}
Just to clarify, Christ is the big boss for every bro; bros are the heads for the ladies, and God’s the supreme authority over Christ.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman {is} the man; and the head of Christ {is} God.
If a dude’s praying or prophesying with his head covered, that’s super sus and disrespects his whole vibe.
Every man praying or prophesying, having {his} head covered, dishonoureth his head.
But if a chick’s praying or prophesying with her head uncovered, that’s also sus: it’s like she's rocking a buzz cut.
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with {her} head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
If a girl’s not covered, she might as well go for a bald look; but if that’s too savage for her, she should keep it covered up.
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
A dude shouldn’t cover his head, 'cause he’s the representation and glory of God, while the girl is the glory of the dude.
For a man indeed ought not to cover {his} head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
No dude came from the girl; rather, the girl originated from the dude.
For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
The dude wasn’t made for the girl; the girl was crafted for the dude.
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
That’s why the girl ought to have authority on her head, due to the angels, fr.
For this cause ought the woman to have power on {her} head because of the angels. {power: that is a covering in sign that she is under the power of her husband}
For real, the dude isn’t whole without the girl, and the girl isn’t whole without the dude, all in the Lord's groove.
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
Much like the girl came from the dude, the dude's also here because of the girl; but honestly, it all traces back to God.
For as the woman {is} of the man, even so {is} the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
Consider this: is it cool for a girl to pray to God with her head uncovered?
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
Even nature spills the tea: if a dude’s got long hair, that’s kinda sus.
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
But if a girl’s rocking long hair, that’s pure glory: her hair's like, a total cover-up.
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for {her} hair is given her for a covering. {covering: or, veil}
If any dude wants to argue about this, we don’t roll with that style, and neither do God’s churches.
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
Honestly, I can’t get with this: when you gather, it’s not for the better, it’s for the worse.
Now in this that I declare {unto you} I praise {you} not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
First, when you come together in church, I hear there's some beef; and I kinda believe it.
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. {divisions: or, schisms}
There must be some drama among you, so the real ones can stand out.
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. {heresies: or, sects}
When you gather in one spot, it’s not just to feast on the Lord’s supper.
When ye come together therefore into one place, {this} is not to eat the Lord's supper. {this...: or, ye cannot eat}
While you guys eat, everyone’s just showcasing their own meals, and some are starving while others are living it up.
For in eating every one taketh before {other} his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
Wait, don’t you have your own place to eat and drink? Or do you just wanna roast the church and make the broke ones feel bad? What can I even say to you? Can’t even hype you up for this.
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise {you} not. {have not: or, are poor?}
I got the 411 from the Lord, and I’m passing it to you: that night Jesus got betrayed, He took some bread.
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the {same} night in which he was betrayed took bread:
After giving thanks, He broke it and said, "Take a bite, this is my body, broken for you. Do this to remember me, fr."
And when he had given thanks, he brake {it}, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. {in...: or, for a remembrance}
He also grabbed the cup post-dinner, saying, "This cup is the new agreement in my blood. Do this every time you drink it to remember me, periodt."
After the same manner also {he took} the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink {it}, in remembrance of me.
Whenever you munch on this bread and sip from this cup, you’re announcing the Lord’s death until He comes back.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. {ye do...: or, shew ye}
So, anyone who eats this bread and drinks this cup of the Lord without the right vibes is guilty of disrespecting the body and blood of the Lord.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink {this} cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
But seriously, let a person check their own vibes before they eat that bread and drink from that cup.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of {that} bread, and drink of {that} cup.
If you eat and drink without the right mindset, you’re just attracting bad vibes, not recognizing the Lord’s body.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. {damnation: or, judgment}
That’s why so many of you are feeling weak and sick, and some are just knocked out.
For this cause many {are} weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
If we keep it real with ourselves, we won't face judgment, no cap.
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
But when we do get judged, it’s the Lord keeping us in check, so we don’t get canceled with the world.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
So fam, when you all vibe together to eat, make sure to wait for one another, periodt.
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
And if someone’s feeling hungry, just eat at home; don’t gather to get called out. I’ll handle the rest when I pull up.
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come. {condemnation: or, judgment}
