1 Corinthians Chapter 10
Yo crew, don’t snooze on this: all our squad was chilling under the cloud and cruised through the sea, no cap.
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
They all got baptized alongside Moses with those cloud and sea vibes, fr.
And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
Everyone munched on the same spiritual snacks, it was straight fire.
And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
They all downed the same spiritual drink, straight from that Rock, which was Christ, goated.
And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. {followed...: or, went with them}
But God wasn’t feeling a lot of them; they got wrecked in the desert, periodt.
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
These tales are lessons for us, so we shouldn’t be craving those sus things like they did.
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. {our...: Gr. our figures}
Don’t be idol worshippers like some of them; it's written that the people just ate, drank, then lost it.
Neither be ye idolaters, as {were} some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
And steer clear of fornication like they did, ‘cause 23,000 went down in one day, savage.
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Don’t put Christ to the test like they did, or you might get wrecked by snakes, no cap.
Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
And quit the complaining like they did, or you might get taken out by the destroyer, fr.
Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
All these events happened as lessons, and it's written for our vibes, since we’re living in the last days, no cap.
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. {ensamples: or, types}
So, if you think you're standing tall, be careful, or you might just slip, fr.
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
No temptation hits you that ain't standard, but God’s got your back, won’t let you face more than you can handle, and will always provide a way to bounce back.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God {is} faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear {it}. {common...: or, moderate}
So, fam, dip from idolatry; it’s sus.
Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
I’m addressing the wise ones here; you catch my drift?
I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
The cup we bless? That’s our communion with Christ’s blood. The bread we break? That’s our communion with His body, periodt.
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
We’re many, but we’re one bread, one body; we all partake in that one bread, it’s goated.
For we {being} many are one bread, {and} one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Check Israel in the flesh: aren’t those who munch on the sacrifices part of the altar?
Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
So what’s the scoop? Is the idol anything, or what’s offered up to it?
What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
But I’m saying, what the Gentiles sacrifice, they’re actually vibing with devils, not God, and I don’t want you tangled up in that.
But I {say}, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
You can't sip from the Lord's cup and the devil's cup, fam. Can't vibe at the Lord's table and the devil's table, periodt.
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Are we really trying to make God jealous? Like, are we stronger than Him, though?
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
Everything's chill for me, but not everything’s a good look, you feel? Just 'cause I can do it, doesn't mean it's dope.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. {expedient: or, profitable}
Don't just look out for yourself; make sure to help your homies too, no cap.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's {wealth}.
Whatever's on sale in the market, just eat it, no questions asked for the sake of your conscience, fam.
Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, {that} eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it is straight-up goated.
For the earth {is} the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
If someone who doesn’t vibe with the faith invites you to a feast and you're down to go, just eat what's served, no questions for conscience vibes.
If any of them that believe not bid you {to a feast}, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
But if someone mentions it’s been sacrificed to idols, skip it for their sake and your conscience, 'cause the earth is the Lord's and all that.
But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth {is} the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
I'm talking conscience here, not yours, but the other person’s: why should my freedom be judged by someone else's conscience?
Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another {man's} conscience?
If I'm vibing off grace, why am I catching shade for what I thank God for?
For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? {grace: or, thanksgiving}
So whatever you eat or drink, or honestly anything you do, just flex it for God's glory, no cap.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Don’t throw shade at anyone, whether it's the Jews, the Gentiles, or the church fam: keep it chill.
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: {Gentiles: Gr. Greeks}
I vibe with everyone in all things, not for my own gain, but to help others catch that W and be saved.
Even as I please all {men} in all {things}, not seeking mine own profit, but the {profit} of many, that they may be saved.
